LE BRIS-ROL architectes is available for new projects

Steve Le Bris and Frédérique Rol, architects and graduates of the Bordeaux School of Architecture and Landscape, decided to create LE BRIS-ROL Architectes in order to propose unique projects to clients. Motivated by atypical commissions that require a very specific response, these architects find in this approach the meaning of their profession. Based in Floirac, Steve Le Bris and Frédérique Rol have set up their offices on a 70m2 floor, designed and furnished like a flat, in order to promote conviviality, exchange and the relationship between the building and its environment.

Steve Le Bris and Frédérique Rol strive to put this quote into practice on a daily basis. These architects spend a great deal of time designing different spaces, thinking about the feelings they will generate. The exercise of their activity has led them to work more on collective and individual living spaces, in which there is a major affective dimension. In this sense, the answers provided must be fair, functional and appropriate to each way of life.

These architects practice a global reflection that integrates the design of the exterior spaces, leading to the creation of a coherent and homogeneous project. They then study the details of each room and each space so that they respond in a specific way to their uses, while being aesthetic and pleasant to live in.

The solutions proposed are unique, according to each request and each context. The study of the site has several complementary and inseparable aspects. The first considerations are subjective, sensitive, even emotional; they allow us to feel a place, its interests and its specificities. The more pragmatic aspects are just as important, in that they define the limits of a project. This conceptual rigour starts from the first sketches and is concretised during the construction. These architects give priority to "real materials" such as concrete, wood, steel, natural stone or terracotta, which impose a strong aesthetic, especially when they are left in the raw expression of their material.
