Graduates of the Bordeaux School of Architecture and Landscape, Frédérique Rol and Steve Le Bris worked in Bordeaux agencies before creating LE BRIS-ROL Architectes in 2005, born of a deep desire to propose unique projects. These architects are motivated by particular commissions that present a real interest in research and design. It is in this practice that they find the meaning of their profession, and feel fully legitimate. Their offices, located in Floirac, have been designed as a friendly, contemporary and open space, in the image of their conception and their values.

Frédérique Rol and Steve Le Bris strive to put this quote into practice, bearing in mind that their work is about designing spaces that are conducive to fulfilment. These architects therefore take a deep interest in the spaces they design, systematically thinking about the sensations and emotions that might be experienced. This attention is all the more important as the agency's activity is aimed at living spaces, both individual and collective.

With a global vision, these architects integrate outdoor spaces, gardens, terraces, swimming pools or pool-houses into their thinking in order to propose a coherent and sensible project. Each space is then studied in a specific way so that it responds to its use, while guaranteeing an aesthetic and convivial design.

The solutions proposed are specific to each request and each context. The study of the site is essential, and in addition to the technical aspects, it is the subjective considerations that allow us to feel the place and its specificities. In addition, there are pragmatic imperatives such as regulatory, budgetary and programmatic constraints... This conceptual rigour begins with the first sketches, is specified during the project definition phases and is concretised during the building site with precise and methodical monitoring. The architect must, in their opinion, combine a sensitive and artistic approach, while mastering the technical constraints inherent in each project.
